Yes, Jerry is Simon's dad. Which probably isn't surprising since "Smith" is such an uncommon last name.
With more than 40 years of sales and marketing experience, Jerry just wanted to retire to San Diego, get Chargers season tickets and eat cotton candy. Using his formidable powers of persuasion, and the promise of "fun," Simon brought Jerry out of retirement to give our clients the benefit of his extensive experience.
This experience includes building markets for leading content providers such as McClelland & Stewart, Ryerson Press, MacMillan of Canada, Gage Publishers, Allyn & Bacon and Prentice Hall.
Jerry uses this experience to understand clients' needs and ensure we meet them through the right services.
He also uses it to constantly remind us that, when he was our age, computers were the size of school buses and cooled by liquid helium.
